City of Phoenix Installs LED Lights in Pedestrian Corridor
“Green Light District” Test Brightens Popular First Friday Art Walk
Join Mayor Gordon as he sheds new light on his “Green Phoenix” initiative by installing cost-saving LED lights in a popular pedestrian corridor.
LED light bulbs will be installed in a test area of Downtown Phoenix dubbed the “Green Light District”. This pilot test program will allow the Phoenix Streets Department to monitor ongoing effectiveness of LED lights an…

The Radiate Phx''s ning site allows users to create HTML code for a badge. You can place the HTML code on your blog site or web site to let others know more about you. I've put one on our
Urban Life blog site and have had several people click through to the RPning site.
Try it out... its a great way to spread the magic of Radiate Phoenix. Don't get too worried if you don't know HTML, they create it for you and then it is only a matter of cutting and pa…

A group that I am workign with (headed by Nan Ellin) at ASU is conducting a community survey on how locals use the canals in the Phoenix metro area. Please take a moment to help them with their research by clicking the link below to access a very brief survey.

A neat resource about what is going on in central/downtown. Each Friday, a brief (approx 5 minutes) video podcast is released highlighting CenPho news and events. the site also includes an events calendar, concert listings and local links.
Looks like it is still in it's formative stages, so there are plenty of opportunities to get you events, businesses or interests posted and/or featured on future episodes.

This is a little late, as it came out in last weeks New Times, but it seems to be resonating with people as, over the past week, I have engaged in numerous conversations with friends, neighbors and colleagues about the cover article by Robert Pela (not to mention the cover
photograph!). in particular the 'Love Phoenix or Leave Phoenix line seemed to raise some controversy.…

The official change of seasons is here - so damn welcome! To all of my PHX friends: we made it through the blistering of Sonoran Summer - bring on the blissful months when we truly get to flaunt our fare weather.
Yes. I know, I know - we're not completely out of the oven yet. But admit it: you DO feel it shifting; something milder approaching; the glimmer and shimmer of big events and parties lining up; shorter days and darker, more contemplative nights…

Just a quick note to say thanks for putting together another great gathering. It was pretty fun to see the Mayor pop by... we've come a long way in notoriety.
Great Talk by Adam. I've known him for over six months but I didn't know he was a GIS/Geographer kind of guy. The things we find out at RadiatePhx. Can't wait til his site is up and we have real time links to what's happening downtown.
